A good break from texturing the warrior. An artist named Gavade (responsible for a lot of great TF2 artwork) is "challenging" people to color his work.

To me this guy looked like some kind of earth elemental or swampy creature. Something that would sit in one place for so long that the earth around it would begin to actually grow on top of it.

Awesome job dude! Loving all that moss and organic hair ;)

Really like the concept of it being a patient predator, standing still in the swamplands with organic life flourishing from it.

The bark browns really break up the shape, nice idea :)
